[ The Peregrine RT 25 ]
DESCRIPTION
The Peregrine RT 25 is the most recent design in the continuing
evolution of the Peregrines. The Peregrine RT 25 features nuanced variations to
the nose and entry rocker to keep it's rail to rail transitions clean and
buttery. Like all the Peregrine RTs it combines Redtail rockers and foils for
acceleration, projection, speed and control with Peregrine outlines for lift,
quickness, and maneuverability. Rockers, profiles, and foils adopted from the
Redtail offer maximum acceleration, projection, speed and control. Outlines
adopted from the Peregrine with the wide point pulled back create more surface
area and curve from wide point to tail. The extra surface area and curve offer
maneuverability with lift and release. The combination of these design features
from the Retail and the Peregrine is at the core of all the Peregrine designs
and creates a board that excels across the whole spectrum of waves and
conditions. The Peregrine RT 25 features lower tail rocker and deeper concaves.
The lower tail rocker increases acceleration and speed. The deeper concaves
create extra curve in the rail rocker maintaining quickness, tight turning
radii, and maximum maneuverability. The lower tail rocker and increased rail
rocker created by the deeper concaves are the key design features that
differentiate the Peregrine RT 25 and the Peregrine RT 24 from the Peregrine
RT. The nuanced nose and entry rocker of the Peregrine RT 25 compared to the RT
24 and the RT keeps the rails clean in any waves and conditions. Of note, the
RPT option is an excellent outline coupled with the lower tail rocker. The
constant curve of a RPT from wide point to tail offers great release without
sacrificing acceleration and projection. And the single concave option is an
excellent bottom to maximize power, acceleration, projection, and
maneuverability in critical waves. The Peregrine RT 25 offers maximum
performance in any size waves from knee high to well overhead, any conditions
from marginal to powerful, and in mellow to critical waves.
DESIGN FEATURES
Rockers: Nuanced Speed Box rocker is the primary rocker for the
Peregrine RT 25. Speed box rocker is versatile and maximizes performance in all
waves and conditions. Optional Continuous rocker for particularly critical
vertical and barreling waves. Profiles: Moderate foil with sufficient
volume throughout to support the surfer in marginal conditions yet foiled
enough for complete control in critical waves. Outlines: Round pin,
squash, thumb, or swallow. Of note, the RPT option is an excellent outline
coupled with the lower tail rocker. Bottom Contours: Shallow vee in
entry, moderately deep single concave starting between entry and wide point.
Notably deep concaves reach maximum depth between the wide point and the fin
array fading through the fins to the tail. Optional single or single to double
concave from the wide point to the tail. The single and the single to double
concaves both offer considerable lift, acceleration, and speed. Rails:
Moderately low crowned profile. Rail volume varies with surfer's size,
technique, and preference - more rail volume for techniques that generates
greater displacement - less rail volume for light footed techniques. See essays
