DESCRIPTION

The Pescado Egg is a another progressive member of the Mid Length Egg Class inspired by
Rob Yuen the Speed Egg Master. It's a creative and unique design incorporating egg and longboard design features, a deep fish cut swallow tail, and a twin fin array in an incredibly versatile and extremely fast design. The Pescado Egg is designed to perform in knee high to overhead surf in a range of conditions from critical to mellow waves. The design paddles great, has mobility in the line up, and catches waves with ease. It offers expectational twin fin speed and maneuverability, mid length trim, and longboard nose riding performance features. The rocker, profile, and foil combine mid length and longboard features. The bottom contours are convex nose to tail. Entry to wide point features a tri plane with an extremely shallow concave in the center plane. Wide point to tail features a panel vee with a rolled transition at the stringer and an optional spiral vee from the fins to the tail. The crowned yet moderately full rails engage the board in the face of waves with sensitivity and control. The soft down rails in the nose create lift for nose riding and trim speed. The primary and preferred fin array is a twin fin with exceptions for a surfer's preference. Like all mid length designs the Pescado Egg is incredibly easy to ride. It is a versatile and rewarding design. The design excels in beach breaks, reef breaks, and point breaks in marginal to perfect conditions. It offers exceptional performance for novice to expert surfers.

Rob had this to say after surfing his Pescado Egg for a few months, "The Pescado Egg has opened some old and new maneuvers. Last session had a full rail cutback back into the pocket to finish the wave. Another was a top turn on an overhead foam climb where I thought I was stuck up there but the board released. The nose was buried on the way down, but f*#!, I made it and didn't kook out. It's a really fun board and has so many different modes of behavior for a surfboard."

PESCADO EGG BOTTOM CONTOUR OPTIONS

TRI PLANE to ROLLED PANEL VEE bottom with crowned deck and crowned rail profile. The convex bottom offers minimum drag offering acceleration, projection, speed, and maneuverability. Center plane of tri plane features shallow 1/32" concave creating notable lift and speed for forward trim and paddling into waves. The panel vee wide point to tail offers excellent rail to rail transitions. The tri plane entry and wide point to panel vee widepoint to tail is the optimum convex bottom. It offers excellent rail to rail transitions and acceleration on rail as if surfing on a nearly frictionless ball bearing. Crowned deck and crowned rail profile maintains control and stability and tri plane entry and wide point to panel vee provides exceptional user friendly performance.

Center plane of tri plane features shallow 1/32" concave creating notable lift and speed for forward trim and paddling into waves. The spiral vee wide point to tail offers exceptional quickness and acceleration. The tri plane entry and wide point to spiral vee or panel vee widepoint to tail is the optimum convex bottom. It offers excellent rail to rail transitions and acceleration on rail as if surfing on a nearly frictionless ball bearing. Crowned deck and crowned rail profile maintain control and stability and tri plane entry to wide point to crisp spiral vee to tail offers extra quickness and acceleration to the exceptional user friendly performance.
