[ Malolo Twin 25]
DESCRIPTION The Malolo Twin 25 is a twin fin shortboard designed for maximum performance in a full spectrum of waves and conditions. The design adds volume with surface area in the outline and moderte thickness in the profile. The extra volume, relaxed rocker, and moderately full profile provide excellent paddling mobility and glide into waves with ease. Malolo Twins are generally a few inches shorter than a go to daily driver shortboard. The relaxed rocker profile, full outline, with a variety of deck options from slightly crowned, flat, or concave, moderately fuller rail profile, and innovative concave bottom contours yield an extremely fun high performance board that performs in a wide variety of waves and conditions. This twin fin version of the Malolo, like all twin fins, is extremely fast and maneuverable. DESIGN FEATURES ROCKERS Speed Box or Relaxed rocker. PROFILE & FOIL Moderate foil with sufficient volume throughout to support the surfer in marginal conditions yet foiled enough to maintain control in critical conditions. OUTLINES Classic Winged or Double Winged Swallow Tails and Round Pin Tails to maintain surface are from the fins forward and reduce surface area from the fins to the tail. BOTTOM CONTOURS Shallow vee in entry with the vee transitioning to subtle double concave between entry and wide point, blending to single concave from wide point to fins, and double concave from fins through the tail. The Reverse Vee Double Concave in the nose and entry creates a spine for stability and control when the front foot is engaged, the single concave mid board creates exceptional acceleration and speed, and the spiral vee / double concave in the fins creates acceleration, speed, and control. RAILS Marginally fuller than the rails of most shortboards. Rail profile and volume varies with surfer's size and technique - fuller rails for technique that generates greater displacement or bigger surfers - thinner rails for a more light footed technique or smaller surfers. |

MALOLO TWIN 25 ROCKER OPTIONS |
| |
SPEED BOX rocker is the primary rocker option for the Malolo Twin
25. These designs feature an area of reduced curves under the
surfer's torso and hips when paddling and under the surfer's stance
when surfing. The Speed Box can vary moderately in length and
position. The integrated tail and entry rockers are tuned to surfer's
technique and surf venues and conditions. This rocker profile can be
fine tuned to a wide variety of conditions.

SPEED BOX ROCKER - Note the area of straighter curves through the mid section of the board with accelerated nose and tail rocker with the Speed Box highlighted in red |
| |
|
| |
RELAXED ROCKERS feature low tail rocker and relaxed entry rocker.
This rocker profile excels in marginal and moderate conditions by
generating and carrying speed in and out of the pocket without
sacrificing control in powerful surf.
|
| |
RELAXED ROCKER - Note the relaxed lower rocker in the nose and tail compared with the Speed Box Rocker highlighted in blue. The relaxed rocker's speed box is highlighted in red |

REVERESE VEE DOUBLE CONCAVE bottom with moderately crowned deck and rails. Reverse vee double concaves feature a spine from nose to wide point, single concave from wide point to fins, and double concave through the fins to the tail. The laminar flow created by the reverse vee double concave creates substantial lift and acceleration and it's spine in the nose and tail offers exceptional directional stability through turns. Reverse vee double concaves provide maximum acceleration, projection, speed, and maneuverability. Crowned rail profile maintains control and stability. |
