[ The Pescado Egg ]
DESCRIPTION
The Pescado Egg is a another progressive member of the Mid Length
Egg Class inspired by the Speed Egg Master Rob Yuen. It's a creative and unique
design incorporating egg and longboard design features, a fish cut swallow
tail, and a twin fin array in an incredibly versatile design. The Pescado Egg
is designed to perform in knee high to overhead surf in a range of conditions
from critical to mellow waves. The design paddles great, has mobility in the
line up, and catches waves with ease. It offers expectational twin fin speed
and maneuverability, mid length trim, and longboard nose riding performance
features. The rocker, profile, and foil combine mid length and longboard
features. The bottom contours are convex nose to tail. Entry to wide point
features a tri plane with an extremely shallow concave in the center plane.
Wide point to tail features a panel vee with a rolled transition at the
stringer and an optional spiral vee from the fins to the tail. The crowned yet
moderately full rails engage the board in the face of waves with sensitivity
and control. The soft down rails in the nose create lift for nose riding and
trim speed. The primary and preferred fin array is a twin fin with exceptions
for a surfer's preference. Like all mid length designs the Pescado Egg is
incredibly easy to ride. It is a versatile and rewarding design. The design
excels in beach breaks, reef breaks, and point breaks in marginal to perfect
conditions. It offers exceptional performance for novice to expert surfers.
