DESCRIPTION

The Glider is the ultimate "trimming machine." It is a classic design for classic surfing. It's length, volume, foil, outline, and bottom contours provide great paddling mobility, catch waves effortlessly, offer smooth flowing turns and trims through every section a wave may offer. When surf is marginal or small Gliders open a wide range of surfing possibilities and magic moments.

Gliders perform best in mellow waves although they have no performance limitations in more critical waves. They can catch waves from any position in a line up and are particularly adept at catching waves out the back often before they break. Gliders trim through and connect sections with ease.

Gliders range in length from 10' 0" to 12" 0". Rocker is low and continuous. Foil is moderate and drawn out. Bottom contours are classic Natural Curves tri plane entry to wide point with shallow concave in the center plane and rolled panel vee wide point to tail. Rails mimic shortboard rails - neutral in the entry and wide point and low in the tail. All the design elements maximize lift and trim.

DESIGN FEATURES

CROWNED DECK and CROWNED RAIL with TRI PLANE to ROLLED PANEL VEE BOTTOM Crowned rail profile maintains control and stability and tri plane entry and wide point to panel vee provides exceptional user friendly performance. The convex bottom offers minimum drag offering acceleration, projection, speed, and maneuverability. Center plane of tri plane optionally features a shallow 1/32" concave creating notable lift and speed for forward trim and paddling into waves. The panel vee wide point to tail offers excellent rail to rail transitions. The tri plane entry and wide point to rolled panel vee widepoint to tail is the optimum convex bottom. It offers excellent rail to rail transitions and acceleration on rail as if surfing on a nearly frictionless ball bearing.
